KATHLEEN
Centre Director

Hi! I'm Kathleen.
I have been working in Early years education, supporting children and families for over 9 years now. Throughout this time, I have developed a deep passion for nurturing children's growth, learning and development.
I strongly believe that families play an essential role in a child's learning journey, and I value the knowledge, perspectives and contributions that parents bring. By working together we can provide the best possible outcomes for every child.
As director, my focus is on creating safe, nurturing environments where children feel confident and supported to thrive. I am committed to leading with care and dedication, ensuring our centre continues to be a place where children, families and educators feel welcomed and respected. My vision is to guide our centre as a warm, inclusive community where children develop a lifelong love for learning.
Outside my work I enjoy spending time with my young adult children, often chatting and sharing moments that keep me grounded and connected. These experiences continue to remind me of the importance of family, which inspires the values I bring into my work each day.

Early Childhood Teacher

Hi, I’m Lee.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Malaysia and recently completed my Master’s in Teaching in Australia. My passion for early childhood education drives me to create an environment where kids feel safe, valued, and eager to learn. I believe children learn best through play and exploration, so I design activities that nurture their creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interactions.
A big part of my role is helping kindy kids get ready for school. I focus on building their confidence and skills to make that transition as smooth as possible.

Hi, I’m Kylie. After serving 10 years in the Air Force, I began my career in early childhood education nearly 20 years ago. My journey has included running my own Family Day Care business and working across a variety of early learning roles, leading me to my current position as 2IC and Educational Leader at Newtown Early Learning Centre. I’m passionate about ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and cared for.
As Educational Leader, I’m committed to creating engaging, inclusive learning environments where children can thrive. I also enjoy mentoring and supporting educators to build their confidence, strengthen best practice, and continue their professional growth. Stepping into the 2IC role has been an exciting milestone, and I’m continuing to develop my leadership skills as I work towards my long-term goal of becoming a Centre Director.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and grandchildren. When I’m not at the centre, you’ll often find me reading, gardening, or enjoying a relaxing weekend.
